ABOUT
FilmmakerOG
Meet a second-generation film producer.
FOUNDER STORY
Miles Hardy
I'm Miles Hardy, a producer and producer's representative, formerly represented by CAA. I produced King Cobra, which premiered at Tribeca, went to IFC Films, and later reached Netflix. I've also advised on feature films that later landed at A24, Lionsgate, and Open Road Films.
My father, producer John Hardy, made ten films with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, beginning with sex, lies, and videotape.
I grew up watching how films were financed, packaged, and sold.
I saw that creative success did not always lead to financial reward.
Some producers were able to structure their deals to mitigate downside risk and preserve meaningful upside participation. Others walked away with far less than they expected—or nothing at all.
WORKING MODEL
“I built the tool I got tired of waiting for.”
FilmmakerOG is not intended to be the final or definitive finance plan. It is a professional working model designed to help producers turn assumptions into a credible baseline, compare scenarios, and see how capital, recoupment, and participation may flow.
As a project and its financing conversations evolve, producers can revise assumptions in real time and present different scenarios that reflect a particular investor's proposed terms, structure, or priorities—without rebuilding everything from scratch.
The goal is to help producers iterate quickly, communicate complex structures clearly, and present a clean, professional model with confidence.
